Employees of JSC “Uztransgaz” participated in the meeting of an international conference.
Employees of the Office of Transformation and the Ecology Department of JSC “Uztransgaz” took part in the 20th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the CITES Convention (CoP20), dedicated to issues of international trade in endangered species of wild fauna and flora. The conference is being held in Samarkand and will continue until 5 December.
Our specialists attended sessions discussing the status of flora and fauna species, as well as discussions focused on biodiversity conservation and climate change in Central Asia. As part of the conference, colleagues also had an opportunity to speak with the Head of the IUCN for Central Asia and discuss possible areas of cooperation.
This participation is especially important for the Company, since next year it plans to conduct biodiversity monitoring and launch activities aimed at its conservation at our facilities.
