Technical Capabilities of Main Gas Pipelines Expanded in the Fergana Valle
In order to ensure the stable and uninterrupted operation of the gas transmission system, the Fergana Main Gas Pipeline Administration has implemented another technical initiative.
On the section of the “Khovos–Fergana” main gas pipeline passing through the territory of the Rishtan district, a new pipeline has been installed for the passage of a cleaning pig, and work has been carried out to integrate it technologically into the existing line. As part of the project, the pig launcher unit of the “Khovos–Fergana” main gas pipeline has been relocated to the “Sokh–Namangan” main gas pipeline with a diameter of 720 mm.
The implementation of this technical solution has made it possible to carry out internal surface cleaning and in-line inspection using a pig along the 61-kilometer section of the “Sokh–Namangan” route, as well as on the “Rishtan–Aylanma” main gas pipeline.
The completed work is aimed at improving the operational reliability of the main gas pipelines, ensuring the timely detection of corrosion and defects, and enhancing the quality of supplied natural gas.
