Works performed in the gas transport system Summary (Ⅰ half of 2022)
15.08.2022
In March 2022, a plan of measures to be implemented by system enterprises was developed to prepare gas transport system facilities of JSC "Uztransgaz" for stable operation in the autumn-winter period of 2022/2023.
On this basis, a number of activities were carried out in the system until the end of June of the current year. In particular, 67.4 km of defective parts were planned to be overhauled in the 2,008 km section of main gas pipelines, and 4.2 km (6.23 percent) were actually overhauled. Significantly lower performance of the planned capital repairs is explained by the fact that the receipt of the necessary steel pipes, stipulated by the contract, is delayed due to financing.
7.9 million cubic meters of natural gas were saved
In the first half of 2022, during the repair of the defective sections of the main gas pipelines, the natural gas residues in these sections were obtained by means of mobile compressors and gas distribution stations, and a total of 7.9 million cubic meters of natural gas was saved. 1,338 km (60.81 percent) of the planned 2,200 km main gas pipeline was cleaned by piston. In addition, in order to study the technical condition of the main gas pipelines, diagnostics of the inner surface of the pipeline is being carried out on the section of 502 km (45.47 percent) (plan 1104 km).
Also, according to the plan, the following works were carried out on the main gas pipelines:
- 2,026 (90.2 percent) drilling works were performed to check the technical condition of main pipelines (plan 2,246);
- in 488 (70.93 percent) places of the main pipelines that passed above the ground, the condition of the insulation coating of the underground entry and exit parts was checked and repaired;
- 863 (66.48 percent) closing devices in the line part of main gas pipelines were inspected (plan – 1,298);
- 12,714 meters (67.55 percent) of main gas pipelines exposed due to flooding and wind in desert areas were isolated and buried (plan - 18,820 meters);
- in 699 of the protective casings of main gas pipelines at intersections with roads and railways, the technical condition of the entry-exit area (70.89 percent) was checked (plan 986).
The work done on gas measuring stations is reflected in the next data.
- insulation of inlet and outlet pipes (41.86 percent) of 18 gas measuring stations was checked (plan - 43);
- scheduled to be audited - 108 out of 344 regulators (31.39 percent) were audited.
According to gas distribution stations:
- 222 of 416 gas distribution stations (53.36 percent) were inspected for insulation of inlet and outlet pipes;
- 218 cleaning filters and drainage systems of measuring complexes (52.40 percent) were inspected (plan - 416);
- 3,133 locking devices (50.4 percent) were inspected (plan 6,216);
- 120 shutters (60 percent) were repaired (plan - 200);
- 680 regulators (47.55 percent) were inspected (plan - 1,430);
- 65 gas heating devices (54.62 percent) were inspected (plan - 119);
- 578 odorization blocks (57.45 percent) were inspected (plan - 1006).
In the first half of this year, the following works were carried out on electrical and chemical protective equipment:
- 812 pieces (52.55 percent) of electro-chemical protection equipment, cathodic protection equipment (plan - 1545 pieces);
- 253 units (57.89 percent) of OMP and KTP (25-160 kVA) transformers (plan – 437 units);
- 0.24 kV; 0.4 kV; 6 kV; 653.23 km (49.76 percent) of 10 kV overhead power lines (VL) (plan - 1312.7 km);
- 29 units of external line disconnectors (RLND) (23.57 percent) have been repaired (plan - 123 units).
It should be noted that until the beginning of the heating season, measures will be taken to implement the remaining parts of the planned activities.
